You can add features and preferences to your portfolio using the Settings option. This is where you can add highlighting to help you code, add charts/visuals to analyze your data/codes, change preferences/modify your views and more. Review the articles below to learn more about each of the aforementioned settings/features.
Preferences/modify view
User Preferences can be created within each portfolio. Click the application’s Modify View button in the menu. Click Modify View to open and view settings. Select fields and facets to view, export, or search by default within the portfolio, then click Save. Click the Go Back button to return to the portfolio.
Highlighting (keywords)
Provide the keyword of interest, select a color to use for highlighting, and select the field(s) to be searched for the term. Click Save and wait for notification that the portfolio has been updated. If the keyword exists in a record within the specified fields selected it will appear highlighted in record view. Terms are searched in records in a case insensitive manner. Wildcard characters of any type do not work.
Charts/visuals
Charts can be created from the data within your portfolio. To visualize your data open Portfolio Management, navigate to the Charts tab, and enter the information to use in the creation of your chart. When selecting fields to use you’ll notice that only facetable (essentially categorical) fields are available. Facetable fields include the default fields in the application’s dataset that appear in the Facet View tab, as well as user-created controlled vocabularies and checkbox fields.
Some fields contain hundreds of values and may benefit from selecting a Top N value that looks at a smaller subset of the top values. Be sure to set a Top N that allows you to view the data in a useful and usable manner.
Note: If the fields selected for use are multi-valued, the values are split and each value is displayed independently.
After entering your information and making your selections, click Save in the top left corner of the Portfolio Management page, then return to your portfolio to view your chart(s) in the Charts View tab.
