This option is found once you have created a project/portfolio. Review the ways to add collaborators and adjust their privileges below.
Portfolios analysis can be conducted individually or as a collaborative effort among colleagues. To add a collaborator to a portfolio and specify permissions for that user, begin to type their name or email address in the input box then select the appropriate name from the auto-complete list. Next, assign a role (or multiple roles) to each collaborator by selecting the check box beside each role:
-
Manager: These individuals can manage curatable fields, user roles, content, add collaborators, and view the portfolio. However, they can not curate the portfolio
- These are the only users in the portfolio who can edit Settings and modify view in the portfolio at this time. Any changes to modify views by the Manager will be applicable to all users.
-
Coder/Curator: These individuals can curate/code the portfolio, view, query, and add/mask content
- To assign coders to specific records, visit the Assigning Coders tutorial
- Viewer: Can view and query the portfolio only
Someone who is a manager and coder will have full ability to perform any action in the project/portfolio. A user cannot be a manager, coder and viewer, however, because a viewer has limited capabilities.
Note: The owner/creator of the project will automatically have all privileges of any role, though they are not listed in the Collaborators list.
