iCode provides several options for managing and working with your project. For example, you can create a static project containing a set of search results, create a project for coding, or share a project with other users.
See the articles below to learn more about managing and updating your project.
Project home (Settings)
The project title and description appear at the top of the screen. Click the pencil icon to edit them.
Manage Content
Use Manage Content to add data/records to your project. You can upload data from a spreadsheet or add data from another source, such as an iSearch URL. You can select which fields to include and configure their field types and other options, such as whether they are filterable.
Learn more in the Manage Content articles.
Add collaborators
Use Add Collaborators to give other users access to your project. Depending on the role you assign, collaborators can have different levels of access and permissions. For example, you may want someone to view the project without making changes or allow a colleague to assist with coding.
See the Adding Collaborators article for more information about user roles and permissions.
Set up coding fields
Use Set up Coding Fields to create the fields you will use to code records in your project and configure the options for each field. Standardized coding fields, particularly those that use vocabularies, can help improve coding consistency and make the results easier to analyze.
See the Coding Fields and Vocabularies article for more information.
Modify view/Preferences
Use Modify View to customize how fields are displayed in your project, including in the Results Table and Record View. Manage Sections can also be access in Modify View. You can create sections here to view in various screen, such as Record View to organize related fields.
Note: Changes made in Modify View apply to all users in the project, and only Managers can make these changes.
See the Modify View/Manage Sections article for more information.
Highlight keywords
Use Highlight to identify keywords of interest when reviewing records and see those terms in context. You can specify the keywords to highlight, choose a highlight color, and select the fields in which to search for each term.
See the Highlighting article for more information.
Left side panel options (Project Views)
Use the arrow to expand or collapse the left-side panel. When expanded, the panel displays additional information about your project, such as the project name, date created, and status.
Table
Use the Results Table to view the records in your project. If you perform a search or query, the table will update to display only the records that meet your criteria.
See the Results Table article for more information.
Filters
Use Filters to view and filter records based on fields configured as filterable in your project. This includes filterable fields from your uploaded data as well as filterable coding fields, such as Yes/No or categorical fields.
See the Filters article for more information.
Charts
Use Charts to view charts automatically generated from filterable or categorical data in your project. You can change the chart type to a bar chart, pie chart, or line chart, depending on the data.
See the Charts article for more information.
Settings
Use Settings to access and manage the project settings described above.
