What is a Document ID?

In the current, soon to be legacy, RFI tool, the "ID" field shown in the portfolio is a system generated field called "Document ID" in the back end. You will only see "ID" in an RFI portfolio, however.

In iCode, the field called "Document ID" matches the "ID" field in the current, soon to be legacy, RFI tool. You may also see another ID field if an alternative ID field was uploaded.

Additionally, in iCode:

• The potentially alternative "ID" field uploaded (not used as a "Document ID") will show as an optionally included field in the list to edit field types and is a number (found in the Manage Content flow).
• "Document ID" will not be shown in the list of optionally included fields for legacy portfolios or newly made spreadsheet uploaded projects. You cannot edit this field type; it will be stored as a string

Note: This will only be an issue with migrated RFI portfolios. This will not be a problem with new projects using spreadsheets.
