There are three types of projects you can create in iCode:
| Type | Description | Updates |
| Static |
Records and all associated fields remain fixed and unchanged in the project. How to: Upload a spreadsheet or use an iSearch URL. Do not select Dynamic. |
Records and associated data will not update automatically. |
| Partially dynamic |
A fixed set of records is added using a list of System IDs, while associated fields or metrics, such as RCR, can update automatically. How to: In iSearch, search for the list of System IDs you want to include. Use the resulting search to create the project in iCode and select Dynamic. |
Additional records will not be added automatically to your project, but associated data or metrics may change. |
| Fully dynamic |
Records that meet the search criteria and their associated data can update automatically. How to: In iSearch, create a query using the search criteria for the records you want to include. Use the resulting search to create the project in iCode and select Dynamic. |
Additional records may be added automatically, and associated data or metrics may change. |
More examples of variations of projects and different sources can be found in the following FAQ:
After considering which data you want to include in your project and whether it should update automatically, follow the instructions below to create a project.
To start a new project, click the Create Project button at the top of the iCode home page.
You will be prompted to provide a name and description for your project. When finished, click Create.
You will then be taken to the project home page. Select Manage Content to add data to your project. Follow the steps in the Manage Content: Add Content/Records article to get started.
Once you have added data (see Manage Content), added collaborators, and configured the fields as needed, you will be brought back to the main project screen. Select Results Table or Filters from the left-side panel to view your data and apply filters.
Note: Wait for the project to finish adding content. When Status shows Ready, refresh the page to ensure that all added records are displayed.
